Plagiarism Allegation: APC Shuts Down Its Campaign Website

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has blamed hackers for the infiltration of its campaign website and also publishing of unauthorised content on the website’s pages.

APC Steals Donald Trump’s Manifesto – “Promises To Keep America – Not Nigeria – Safe”

Malam Lanre Issa-Onilu, APC National Publicity Secretary, who disclosed this in a statement issued today, said he had directed for the site to be taken down.

“Our attention has just been drawn to the fact that the APC’s official website, apc.com.ng, has been hacked with unauthorised content posted on our pages.

“I have instructed that the site be taken down. Steps are underway to clean it up, strengthen the security and restore it as soon as possible. We won’t allow desperate people to succeed in their evil plots,” the APC spokesman said.

The APC was earlier today under intense criticism on social media for allegedly plagiarizing their party manifesto.

Reno Omokri, a former aide to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan, had taken to his Twitter page to uncover how the ruling party ripped off their manifesto from Donald Trump.

A quick check by 360nobs showed that the first paragraph of the power supply section of the party’s Next Level agenda published on apc.com.ng had remarkable similarities to what Trump had said on “keeping America safe and secure.”
