If you are a lover of thriller movies, there is a high chance that you would have been keen on knowing the movies that are scheduled to be released in 2019. Your search and wait is over, as we bring to you five of the best thriller movies that will grace the big screens in 2019.
Light of My Life
A couple of years after his Oscar win as a grieving janitor in Manchester By the Sea and a decade since his last outing as a director, Casey Affleck is both behind and in front of the camera for this exceptional movie about a father and daughter trapped in the woods.
Parasite sees the return of Bong Joon-ho to his South Korean roots after starring in a number of English-language movies such as Okja and Snowpiercer. The details of this movie are foggy at the moment, but apparently there are no creepy-crawlies, just a family of four, each of whom has “unique characteristics”.
Ten years after the first outing, a sequel for the much-loved post-apocalyptic horror comedy will be returning to the big screens, with original cast members Emma Stone, Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg and Abigail Breslin reunited, along with director Ruben Fleischer.
Pain & Glory
Pedro Almodóvar returns with an autobiographical meltdown movie about a film director “reflecting on the choices he’s made in life, as past and present come crashing down around him”. The movie stars Antonio Banderas and Penélope Cruz among others.
This movie is not a remake of the British alternative-history drama that aired in 2011, but a Hollywood-goes-to-war yarn in which Jesse Eisenberg (surprise surprise) plays Marcel Marceau in his pre-mime days, when as a resistance fighter he helped save hundreds of kids from the Nazis. The movie is directed by Jonathan Jakubowicz who was in the directors chair for Secuestro Express.
