Don Jazzy Reveals State Of Mavin Records – “We Just Faint Small’

Nigerian music producer Don Jazzy has come out to speak on the current state of things surrounding his record label, Mavin Records.

Reekado Banks Officially Quits Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records

While answering questions from fans on Twitter on Tuesday, the Mavin Records founder admitted that his record label has not been living up to expectations of late as it did in its early years.

He however requested his fans to “pray for us to recover if you can.”

A Twitter user had asked him if Mavin was now a record label of the past.

‘Mr Jazzy, is mavin dead or Buhari’s change has hit your label? This one your top artistes are leaving, leaving behind the learner’s and the upcoming?”

He replied:

“Naaa we never die. We just faint small. E Dey happen. Pray for us to recover if you can.”

When asked why people left the label, he responded by saying:

“Why do u graduate from secondary/university? People grow.”

Speaking on the recent-years performance of his label, Don Jazzy tweeted:

“Well we haven’t satisfied the high expectations you have so far.

“We have taken notes and suggestions from some very loyal fans and have been working on some great ideas. Pls stay tuned during the year. Your feedbacks are always helpful.”
