Bird Box, starring Sandra Bullock, is about supernatural entities that take the appearance of their victims’ worst fears, regrets, and losses that cause them to die by suicide.
In the post-apocalyptic thriller, Sandra plays a mum-of-two who make their way through a forest and river blindfolded to avoid their doom after they are being threatened by something supernatural.
The film’s synopsis explains: “Five years after an ominous unseen presence drives most of society to suicide, a survivor and her two children make a desperate bid to reach safety.
The movie has been terrifying fans – and celebs – since it went online on 21 December and even prompted a huge reaction from viewers.
One wrote: “Watched #birdbox on Netflix finally… that was TERRIFYING AND SO EMOTIONAL”
Another added: “Bird Box on Netflix is honestly the most terrifying but incredible movie I’ve ever seen” .
And a third chipped in: “Newsflash: Bird Box on Netflix is terrifying don’t watch it alone late at night”
