Manchester City Still Trying To Prevent Brahim Diaz From Joining Real Madrid

Manchester City have reportedly decided that they are willing to make one final contract offer to youngster Brahim Diaz.

Diaz has progressed through the academy setup at Manchester City and is regarded as a fringe member of Pep Guardiola’s squad, but the 19-year-old has so far opted against penning a new deal at the Etihad Stadium.

Diaz has only made appearances in cup competitions this season, and it has resulted in the youngster becoming tempted with a switch to Real Madrid.

According to The Sun, City are prepared to make one last attempt to keep Brahim Diaz at the club by offering the prospect a contract worth £25,000 per week.

That would represent a significant pay-rise for Diaz, although the player may only be swayed into extending his stay at the Premier League side with a guarantee of regular action
