Leicester City have given Watford fans at the King Power Stadium free food and drink to after the visiting supporters unveiled banners praising the Foxes’ late owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha..

Before kick off for the Premier League match, the away end of the King Power stadium was adorned in a huge banner, which carried a message: ‘Thank you Vichai for allowing us all to dream. Rest in peace.’

The tribute, which was warmly welcomed by all four sides of the stadium, comes a month after the tragic helicopter crash that claimed the lives of Vichai Srivaddhanaprahba and four others.

His son Aiyawatt, the vice-chairman of Leicester City, was in attendance for the fixture, and was said to be touched by the tribute from the away fans.

And so, in a return gesture of good will . Aiyawatt footed the bill for all bars and food stands on the away concourse of the ground.

Supporters group WFC 1881 had raised hundreds of pounds for the banner, and said that they would be sending all surplus money raised to the local Fox Foundation.

A twitter statement for the suporters group read: ”Due to the overwhelming response to our fundraising for the victims of the helicopter tragedy at @LCFC, we will be donating the surplus money of £1,712 to the fox foundation, which helps people in need around the Leicester area, that Vichai supported.#watfordfc @WatfordFC’.
