Nigerians Share Mixed Feelings On Kupe Boys’ Visit To Abuja On Nov 15

Scores of internet users in Nigeria inundated Twitter on Monday night to share their excitement and also vent their outrage following news that the Kupe boys will be coming to Abuja, the country’s headquarters, on November 15, 2018.

The mixed reactions stemmed from an announcement on Instagram by Play Lounge, a night club in Abuja, on Sunday that it would be inviting the four sinfully handsome French boys, better known as the Kupe boys, to Nigeria next week Thursday for its reopening at Wuse 2.Kupe boys abuja

How Did They Become This Famous?

The four boys became famous after they made a video of themselves choreographing to the Kupe music – a song by an upcoming Ghanaian afrobeat singer A-Star – and the Kupe fever then spread like wildfire on the internet.

The Kupe dance itself which started the challenge originated from Ghanaian dance instructor and upcoming musician, Michael Amofa popularly known as Zigi.

However, while a segment of Nigerian social media users expressed their excitement others vented their displeasure.
