AC Milan are set to make an offer to Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas in January
Cesc Fabregas, 31, has only featured nine times for the ‘Blues’ this season while his contract is due to expire next summer, causing several of Europe’s top clubs to show their interest in the player.
The ‘Rossoneri’ are looking at reinforcing their midfield, with both Lucas Biglia and Giacomo Bonaventura having suffered long-term injuries.
According to ‘Calciomercato’, AC Milan officials Leonardo and Paolo Maldini have begun to identify “two or three new players” ahead of the January transfer window – reportedly Chelsea’s Fabregas, alongside Zenit’s Leandro Paredes and Stanislav Lobotka of Celta Vigo.
However, Fabregas’ huge wages could be an obstacle for Milan, who would need to reduce them in order to sign the midfielder.
