Romelu Lukaku has warned Arsenal legend Thierry Henry that he is chasing down his Premier League goals record
Romelu Lukaku worked under Thierry Henry when he was an assistant with the Belgian national team, a role he recently left to take up the managerial position at Monaco.
Earlier this season, the 25-year-old moved onto 105 Premier League goals, taking him past Chelsea legend and former teammate Didier Drogba in the all-time scoring charts, but now has his sights set on Henry’s mark.
“[Drogba and I] speak every day and it’s really nice because he’s been part of the process,” Lukaku told the Man United club website.
“Now I’m talking to Thierry Henry saying ‘I’m coming for you’ on 175!
“I’m laughing saying it to him but, deep down, inside he knows I’m dead serious!”
