Manchester United legend Gary Pallister slammed Romelu Lukaku for openly conceding he would like to join Juventus.
Romelu Lukaku is said to have grown frustrated at the club’s lack of progress under Jose Mourinho and appears to be pondering an exit route.
When asked about a future move to Serie A last week Lukaku was more than happy to deliver an honest and frank response. ‘Why not? I hope it happens,’ he said.
Juve have a great project in place and they just keep going. Every year they try to get stronger. Without doubt they are one of the two-three best teams in Europe.’
However, Pallister,, was left unimpressed by Lukaku’s admission and branded it as ‘disrespectful’ amid the club’s current crisis.
The former United defender told 888sport: ‘I’ve not heard that Lukaku story regarding Juventus but I think it’s disrespectful at times if you start mentioning other clubs when you’re actually contracted to the club you’re at.
‘If it’s in your mind I’ve got no problem with that but to put it in print I’ve got a problem with that.
‘At a time when a club is under real pressure to have their leading goal-scorer say he’d like to move abroad – if that’s what he has done – is not the ideal scenario.’
