Twitter Feasts On Kemi Adeosun’s ‘Resignation’ Over NYSC Certificate Scandal
It’s Friday! A mini party is ongoing on Twitter and the theme is Nigeria’s Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, who is reported to have resigned from the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.
While it remains unclear when she submitted her resignation letter and why, reports claim her resignation is not unconnected to the allegations that she forged her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) certificate.
It is believed that rather than participate in the mandatory one-year program, she instead, forged an exemption certificate many years after graduation.
While her resignation still remains a rumour as she or any presidential aide is yet to officially confirm it, Nigerians have taken to Twitter to feast albeit in outrage on the development. Some hailed her decision to resign.
See tweets below:
With Kemi Adeosun’s reported resignation, it’s safe to declare that Nigeria’s journalist of the year is definitely our own @abdulfagge, for revealing her forgery and how she was being exploited by NASS. And allow me to famz that he’s my former co-worker. #ProudFriendsCommunity ?

I’m hearing that Kemi Adeosun has resigned. Good. Now she needs to be arrested for certificate forgery.
Nevertheless, let us not forget that Buhari removed the most senior DSS man who Osinbajo appointed and replaced him with someone from the North, who had already retired.

Kemi Adeosun resigns following months of silence over NYSC Certificate forgery scandal.
What I don’t understand are the people giving her thumbs up for resigning. This person should have never been in office in the first instance, so there’s nothing noble about her resignation.

Wawu… Kemi Adeosun has resigned over alleged NYSC certificate forgery..
I didn’t know Nigerians can resign from public office. ?
Resigning is not enough, investigate the matter, is she is found guilty, send her to Prison. Make the others learn. ?

Let the Buhari-led Govt not believe that the resignation of Kemi Adeosun is enough to atone & make restitution for the corruption within the present govt we will not be fooled. tho Kemi’s resignation is laudable, if she was from a diff tribe she might not av been forced to resign

IF indeed Kemi Adeosun has resigned, she has my respect for towing the path of honour. I wish she had done this long ago.
If there was alleged forgery, I guess the police will investigate further & prosecute if proven.
When the system works, we all benefit. Kids are watching

Kemi Adeosun has resigned but that is not enough. She must be prosecuted for forgery.
Then she should be probed to investigate the possible cases of blackmail she may have been party to.

Kemi Adeosun has resigned, she made a good decision, this is strange in a country like Nigeria where it’s almost an abomination for leaders to resign. I commend her!
