Meet Forbes’ 10 Highest-Paid Actresses Of 2018
Forbes has released its annual list charting the highest-paid actresses in the world and this year sees Scarlett Johansson topping the list thanks to her role in Avengers: Infinity War which helped her earn $40.5m (£31.9m) over the past year.
The annual estimates place Angelina Jolie in second following her role in Disney sequel Maleficent 2 with Jennifer Aniston in third.
Former champion Jennifer Lawrence is in fourth place with Reese Witherspoon, Cate Blanchett and Melissa McCarthy following up behind.
The only new addition is Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot who earns £10m (£7.8m), while last year’s highest-paid actress, Emma Stone dropped out of the top 10.
Together, the world’s 10 highest-paid actresses tallied a combined $186 million between June 1, 2017, and June 1, 2018, before fees and taxes. Earnings estimates are based on data from Nielsen, ComScore, Box Office Mojo and IMDB, as well as interviews with industry insiders. All figures are pretax; fees for agents, managers and lawyers are not deducted. Overall, the cumulative total is up 16% from $172.5 million in 2017.
