Nausea is an experience a lot of us don’t like whether it is motion sickness, pregnancy-related, the side effect of a medication or the dreaded flu, there are a number of home remedies that can relieve you.

Essential oils
If you feel nauseous, put several drops of peppermint, grapefruit or spearmint essential oil on a tissue, hold it close to your nose and breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth until your nausea disappears. The scent of the natural oils have the ability to relieve nausea.

Switch seats
If you’re prone to motion sickness, it is best you opt to sit in the front seat of a moving vehicle. If you’re on a boat, stand or sit (don’t lie down) and focus on the horizon. Doing these things allows your eyes to suppress signals from your inner ear that could lead to nausea.

Whenever you have nausea, take about 500 milligrams of dried ginger in capsule form. You can do this 4 times a day. If you’re pregnant, reduce the amount in half. You can also chew a piece of ginger candy not place of taking ginger capsules.

Ginger should be one of your first choices if you’re pregnant because it is natural and very safe.

If you have an upset stomach, eat a couple of plain, salted crackers or a rice cake, especially if your stomach is empty. The crackers are a home remedy for morning sickness. It could be the fact that they’re bland, or that salt helps suppress nausea. They can also help to raise your blood sugar slightly.

Vitamin B6
If you ever find yourself experiencing nausea as a result of morning sickness, vitamin B6 can help. They do this by breaking down hormones believed to play a role in causing it. Take between 25 to 50 milligrams of vitamin B6 twice a day. For best results, you can combine it with ginger.
