Do you always have the urge to scratch as a result of your dry and itchy skin? No need to bother as the following six home remedies will solve your problems.

Avocado or Salmon
Extra omega-3 fatty acids can be found in avocado, nuts, and salmon. Eating them can infuse your skin with healthy oils from the inside.

Aloe vera
The aloe plant has been known to be very useful in healing burns but it also works wonders for itchy skin. Aloe is anti-inflammatory and therefore a good option for irritated itchy skin. You should however be careful of aloe-infused gels that can be irritating as a result of the gel.

Most rashes are minor and temporary, but if you notice one that persists or worsens as time goes by, see a doctor.

Coconut oil or olive oil
The best treatment against itchy skin treatment is a mixture of Olive oil and coconut oil which are great for hydration and gentle on the skin. Simply rub it on to any dry and itchy areas.

Add Oatmeal to your Bath
Oatmeal could help soothe itchy skin when you add finely powdered colloidal oats into your bath. Oatmeal baths supply anti-inflammatories and a soothing coating for the skin. They are great to throw in a warm bath to soothe irritated or sunburned skin.

Drink lots of water
A number of times, it isn’t what lies outside your body that causes your dry, itchy skin but what is inside. Keeping your body hydrated will help your skin stay hydrated.

Baking soda
Adding baking soda to your bath can help soothe your skin. Baking soda reduces inflammation by neutralizing acids on the skin’s surface, thereby balancing the pH, as well as acting as a natural antiseptic by killing bacteria on the skin.

Consume Vitamin D
There is a reason why your skin gets itchier during the wet season because the levels of vitamin D can play a role in how itchy your skin becomes. You should check with your doctor if the level of vitamin D in your body is adequate. When vitamin D is low, skin conditions and itching may flare.
