Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has ruled out a move for Juventus midfielder Miralem Pjanic.
Pep Guardiola is currently in the market for another midfieder, and reports have suggested that Miralem Pjanic may be his target
However, Guardiola has moved to halt speculation regarding the Bosnia-Herzegovina international by claiming that the Premier League champions have no interest in the 28-year-old.
The Spaniard is quoted by Manchester Evening News as saying: “No, he’s a player for Juventus. We are not interested – he’s a top player but we are not interested in him.”
“The scouting department is always looking at players for all positions. We do not have less players in defensive midfield because we have players who can play in that position.”
Pep Guardiola had hoped to bring in Jorginho from Napoli, but he decided to link up with his former manager Maurizio Sarri at Chelsea.
