Fulham have completed the signing Jean Michael Seri from French club, Nice.
Chelsea and Arsenal were among a host of clubs across Europe who had been monitoring the Ivory Coast midfielder, but Fulham have won the race for the 26-year-old.
Napoli, Borussia Dortmund and Sevilla had also been linked with Jean Michael Seri but the player has been in London this week and finalised his move on Thursday, signing a four-year deal with an option for a further 12 months.
Fulham owner Tony Khan said: “He’s been at the very top of our target list for a long time. This is a big day for Fulham. We’re ecstatic that Jean-Michael is joining our squad as we return home to the Premier League.”
Fulham coach Slavisa Jokanovic is also hoping to bring in Southampton’s Matt Targett and Newcastle’s Aleksandar Mitrovic on permanent deals.
