Scared Of FIFA Ban? DSS Storms NFF Secretariat, Ejects Chris Giwa
The operatives of the Department of State (DSS) have stormed the premises of the Nigeria Football Federation secretariat in the early hours of Monday morning to eject the embattled, factional President of the NFF, Chris Giwa.
The development is coming exactly 10 days after the world football governing body FIFA made it very clear that Nigeria risk being banned if the leadership of the NFF as recognized by it, continues to be compromised.

NFF president Amaju Pinnick is facing a challenge to his position from Giwa, who claims he was elected on August 2014 and, acting on the basis of an interim court order, has taken control of the NFF.
But while speaking during an interview with pressmen on July 13, FIFA President, Gianni Infantino, didn’t mince his words as he stated vehemently that FIFA recognises only Pinnick as the NFF president.
As of today, TheCable reports that Giwa and the staff who occupied the NFF secretariat on July 2, have been asked to immediately vacate the premises.
The DSS operatives, who carried out the ejection exercise, said they were working on instructions from above.
The president’s office was also cleared in readiness for the resumption of Pinnick who will return to Nigeria on Tuesday.
Pinnick had been away supervising the CAF roundtable symposium on Africa’s performance at the recently-concluded 2018 Russia World Cup.
