Liverpool have confirmed that Mohamed Salah is now fit to play for Egypt in their World Cup Group A second game against tournament hosts Russia.
Although Mohamed Salah was included in Egypt’s World Cup squad, he did not take part in the Pharaohs’ opener against Uruguay, which finished 1-0 to the South Americans.
An update on the official Liverpool site has now claimed that the Egyptian Football Association has declared Salah ready for Tuesday’s game in St Petersburg.
“He was fit to play against Uruguay but the coach did not want to take the risk,” the EFA is quoted as saying.
