Noble Igwe Becomes An Ogbuefi In Umuomaku, Anambra State

Prominent media personality, Noble Igwe, on Monday, June 18, announced that he has been crowned as an Ogbuefi in Umuomaku, a town in Orumba South Local Government Area of Anambra State.

Noble, a style influencer and co-founder of 360nobs, took to his verified Twitter account early today to make the announcement. 

“After fulfilling all traditional requirement,I am now known as Ogbuefi Noble Igwe. Onwa II of Umuomaku. (Ogbuefi Onwa). Please take note and address me properly. Igbo Amaka,” he tweeted.

Noble Igwe Becomes An Ogbuefi In Umuomaku, Anambra StateAn Ogbuefi is a title presented to a man that has honoured the demise of his prominent father by killing an ‘efi’ – (bull) in his burial as a final ceremony in the indigenous homeland of the Igbo people.

When the title is added to a person, it literally means that person has met the requirements to be a chief and wear a red carpet.
