Emre Can will leave Liverpool when his contract expires this summer, the club have announced.
Emre Can, heavily linked with a move to Juventus, made 167 appearances for the Reds after joining from Bayer Leverkusen in 2014
Can will be followed out of Anfield by Liverpool academy graduate Jon Flanagan, who played his final game for the club last September.
A statement published on Liverpool’s official website read: “Everybody at Liverpool FC thanks all departing players for their contributions and wishes them the best of luck for the future.”
Juventus Club chief Beppe Marotta had spoken frequently as the 2017/18 came to a close, putting on record his confidence of wrapping up a deal for Can and bringing the powerful midfielder to Turin.
‘We are optimistic about the positive end of negotiations with Emre Can,’ he told MediaSet Premium recently.
‘We hope to announce his signing after the Champions League final.
