Leicester City’s winger Riyad Mahrez said he has withdrawn his transfer request from the club but his future remains in doubt.
Riyad Mahrez asked to leave Leicester in January, with Manchester City reportedly keen to sign him, and missed two games as he tried to force through a move.
Another round of rumors now suggests that Pep Guardiola plans to make another offer for Mahrez this summer, and Mahrez told Sky Sports News that he does not know what he will do once the season ends.
“At that time, I handed a transfer [request] in because I had offers from Manchester City, so obviously, I wanted to go,” Mahrez said. “But now I’m still at Leicester. With me, especially, you never know what is happening. Every time I have to go but I am still here.
“I don’t really want to talk about [whether] I’m going or staying. I just want to finish the last three games. We will see what will happen for me.”
