A former Plateau State Governor, Jonah Jang, has been granted bail alongside another accused person by a High Court sitting in Jos, the state capital, on Thursday, May 24, 2018.
Mr Jang is being prosecuted by the anti-graft agency, EFCC, for allegedly stealing billions of naira of public funds while in office.
He has been in prison for about one week based on a court order.
But on Thursday morning, the ruling judge, Justice Daniel Longji granted bail to the former governor on the following conditions; two sureties in the sum of N100million each.
One of the sureties must be a First Class traditional ruler within the jurisdiction.
He is also told to deposit his International Passport.
While the second accused is to produce two sureties with N50million each, one of the sureties must be a Permanent Secretary or anyone within the rank as well as submission of International Passport.
