Pep Guardiola confirms Benjamin Mendy is now training with the first team, but is unsure when he will return to the pitch.
The France international ruptured his ACL in September, and has been sidelined since then.
Guardiola has filled his spot with Fabian Delph, Danilo and Zinchenko. However, Mendy’s return before the end of the season, will be good for France and City.
“I don’t know [when he will be back], but he is much better,” Guardiola told a media conference.
“Especially over the past week or 10 days as he has been training with us. It’s a long injury but he is making progress.”
When asked if the Manchester derby on April 7 – when City could seal the title – could be a realistic date, the coach added: “I don’t know. I can’t anticipate it.”
