Olivier Giroud has said that he wants to repay the faith shown in him by Chelsea manager Antonio Conte.
Olivier Giroud, who made his first start for the Blues in a 3-0 win over West Brom earlier this week, scored his first goal for the club in Friday evening’s 4-0 FA Cup rout of Hull City.
French forward Giroud told BT Sport that he is happy to be contributing to Chelsea’s “big machine”.
“Of course us strikers, they need a real human relationship with the coach,” the 31-year-old said. “It’s nice to have the confidence of the coach, of the staff, and I just want to give it back.
“I feel like the last two opportunities [that I’ve been given], I’ve brought my small thing to the big machine, Chelsea.”
