Wayne Rooney has warned Tottenham that they will lose their top striker Harry Kane if the club do not start picking up silverware.
Harry Kane had a stellar 2017 by ending the calendar year as Europe’s highest goalscorer (56) for club and country.
This season, Kane leads the way for the Golden Boot having hit 22 strikes, and he nabbed his 100th Premier League goal in Sunday’s dramatic 2-2 draw with Liverpool at Anfield.
“Kane’s motivation is going to change from goals to trophies, and if Tottenham don’t win trophies in the next few years, he is going to want to move elsewhere,” the former Manchester United captain said on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football.
“That is a decision he is going to have to make in the next year or two, but Tottenham have also got to make a decision – bring more players in and have a real push to win the Premier League.”
