After all is said and done, the ultimate goal for all the #bbnaija housemates is making it further into the game and for anyone that is fortunate, eventually becoming the winner. It however seems some of the #bbnaija housemates are very much vested in their emotional ties that they’ve lost sight of the target.
During the last #bbnaija live show, Ebuka gave the Housemates some much needed advice about not allowing external forces to throw them off their horse, lest they lose sight of the ride that will get them to the finish line.
Unfortunately however, some of the emotionally attached #bbnaija Housemates, including Alex, Nina and Cee-C to name the most obvious, seem to be so deep in the emotional puddle that their reactions just like their game, has become predictable.
At the inception of the #bbnaija season three show, all three of the ladies mentioned seemed very set on the game and had their gazes fixed on the price. For Nina however, the love bug hit her at the speed of light and as the day quickly turned into weeks, she came close to becoming Miracle’s shadow.
Cee-C appeared to be much more resilient and did her best to run away from it but the bug caught on to. She seems to have fallen so hard for Tobi that it almost had him throw off his game. Their on and off romance hasn’t helped her one bit; which makes us wonder if it’s too late for her to try and redeem herself and connect with her fellow #bbnaija Housemates.
Alex on the other had made it clear from the beginning that she wasn’t in the game to find love but she seems to have slept on her words as her recent teary episodes suggests the love bug has bitten her.
Although she managed to dodge the bullet for a while, she soon had a shaky fall for Leo, so much so that she confessed her feelings for Leo during the live show for anyone who cared to listen.
It is undeniable that love is a beautiful thing and falling for the right person definitely only happens once or twice if you’re lucky. The #bbnaija Housemates are human after all and are bound to let loose and fall in love.
With very little time to regroup and refocus till the next Evictions, the appetite the #bbnaija housemates have for love needs to be curbed and channelled to the game.
Whether the tales of love is meant to be strategic or spontaneous, one thing that is certain is that the platform is not a love nest and the sooner the housemates make their game a priority, the better for them.
