2018 is upon us and it has already shown signs that it is going to be an interesting and entertaining year for movie lovers. From action to sci-fi and comic movies, there definitely won’t be a shortage of films to watch.
The first quarter of the year has seen movies like black Panther scheduled to be released in February. The second quarter of the year will see some other pretty exciting movies. Here are some that you should be on the look out for.
Avengers: Infinity War (May 4)
The Avengers are back again and Iron Man, Captain America, Spider-Man, and about 100 more of their super-powered friends come together to stop the villainous character of Josh Brolin, Thanos from wreaking apocalyptic destruction.
Marvel in their characteristic manner are expected to deliver this movie in spectacular fashion which you definitely would love to see if you are a fan of comics.
Solo: A Star Wars Story (May 25)
If you bare in mind the fact that this George Lucas film has fired the original directors of the previous star wars movie (The Lego Movie’s Phil Lord and Christopher Miller) mid-production, there will be a lot of questions the movie will have to answer.
The director that completed the movie is no other person than Ron Howard and the origin story for Han Solo who is played by Alden Ehrenreich will perhaps leave one of the biggest question marks in the movie world for 2018. It is left to be seen if it can leave the controversies behind and be a blockbuster.
Deadpool 2 (June 1)
Everyone is eager to see the next move of Ryan Reynolds sarcastic Merc character that has a sharp and foul mouth. More so, if we are to consider the fact that his character will now be paired with Josh Brolin’s time-traveling badass Cable, then we have a fun and explosive movie on our hands.
The sequel is being directed by Atomic Blonde’s David Leitch who has Atomic Blonde has part of his movie repertoire only further enhances our anticipation.
Oceans Eight (June 8)
This time around, it will be the women at the centre stage. Sandra Bullock will play the role of the estranged brother of George Clooney’s Danny Ocean, and she will assemble her own all-star thief team—including Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Mindy Kaling, Helena Bonham Carter, Sarah Paulson, and Rihanna (!)—to pull off a heist targeting Damian Lewis’ baddie in this A-list effort.
The movie is being directed by Gary Ross who was in the directors chair for The Hunger Games.
The Incredibles 2 (June 15)
Not much is known about the plot of Pixar’s sequel to this our beloved superhero adventure that was first released in 2004. However, with the original director of the first part, Brad Bird and the entire voice cast coming on board once again, it is definitely going to be one of the few 2018 follow-up movies a lot of people will be looking forward to.
