Leicester City are close to completing their first transfer of this window, with the signing of Mali forward Fousseni Diabate from Gazalec Ajaccio
A fee has been agreed for the 22-year-old who can play as a striker or winger.
Fousseni Diabate will initially join up with Leicester’s under-23s squad, but could also feature for the first-team this season, if he impresses as much as Leicester’s scouts hope.
During the current campaign, the 22-year-old has netted three goals in 20 appearances in all competitions, and his arrival could lead to Leicester boss Claude Puel allowing one of his forwards to leave the King Power Stadium.
Both Ahmed Musa and Leonardo Ulloa have been linked with an exit, although Puel has previously indicated that he intends to keep Islam Slimani.
