Stir in flour, baking soda and salt while ensuring the dough is still stiff. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts if desired.

Baking Process
Next, drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Proceed to bake for between 8 to 10 minutes or until a light brown colour appears while the center is still soft. Allow to cool for between 1 to 2 minutes before removing from cookie sheets to cooling racks.
