Jurgen Klopp has slammed Mason Holgate for his push on Roberto Firmino in the heated 2-1 win over Everton in the FA Cup.
The pair had to be separated by the match day official in the aftermath of the event, with Holgate claiming he was verbally abused.
Klopp was initially mute on the matter, but hit out at Holgate for the push that saw Firmino upended over the pitchside barrier into the crowd.
“It was not necessary for Mason Holgate to give Firmino that push,” Klopp told BBC Sport. “It was really dangerous and usually players don’t do that. We cannot change that.”
