Kasey Palmer and Ike Ugbo have been recalled to Chelsea from their respective loans at Huddersfield and Barnsley.
Kasey Palmer was a key part of the Huddersfield side that got promoted last season but he has not featured as much this season, partly due to injury.
Huddersfield manager David Wagner explained: ‘Kasey is a great character and we’d like to wish him all the best for the future as he returns to Chelsea.
‘He was a big part in our successful promotion to the Premier League, but the hamstring injury he suffered made it difficult for him this season. He has struggled to hit his best level since his return to training and that’s why he hasn’t been able to earn a position in the team.’
Ike Ugbo was on loan with Championship side Barnsley, where he made 18 appearances and scored one goal.
In a statement, Barnsley – who are 19th in the table, wished the 19-year-old well.
‘Everyone at Barnsley Football Club would like to thank Ike for his efforts whilst at Oakwell and wish him the best of luck for his future career.’
Ugbo impressed Chelsea manager Antonio Conte when he scored in the FA Youth Cup final earlier this year.
