Former Manchester United and Bayern Munich midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger is a wanted man, according to Die Welt.
The 33-year-old has offers from Bundesliga clubs with his contract at MLS club Chicago Fire set to expire at the end of December.
Speaking recently to Eurosport, Schweinsteiger admitted he was keeping his future options open.
He said: “I only signed once for a year because I wanted to see what it’s like.
“The state of affairs is that I still have this contract, but I have nothing else and I’m open to everything.”
Bastian Schweinsteiger has played 25 times for the American side and scored three goals for the club, his last sealing a 1-0 win over Montreal Impact in September.
