Thiago Silva has revealed to Telefoot that he used the recent international break to try and convince Philippe Coutinho to team up with him and Neymar at Paris Saint-Germain.
Neymar, Dani Alves and Marquinhos all play for PSG and Silva urged Coutinho to become the latest South American to join the growing Brazilian contingent.
‘I talk a lot with Coutinho. I hope that at the end of the season or even before, it could be a nice surprise for us,’ he told Telefoot.
As with Neymar, I give him a lot of advice. But I think the most important thing for him is to make the best decision.’
Coutinho was close to joining Barcelona last summer, but Liverpool were steadfast in their objection and rejected three bids for their star man.
