Slysticks Speaks on His Band One Sound

Sylvester Tochi Peters popularly known as Slysticks is one Nigerian Musician who has been able to carve out a niche for himself in the fast-growing Nigerian Entertainment Industry. The Drummer, Percussionist and Loop programmer is one of the most sought-after Musician (Instrumentalist) in Nigeria.

Since age sixteen (16), the drummer who hails from Imo state has been producing Melodious sounds effortlessly from the drums to the admiration of everyone who hears him play. It is evident in the way he handles the drums that he does it professionally hitting the right notes which only a few drummers can boast of.

The Musician has gone ahead of his peers to bring undiluted entertainment to Nigerians as he currently runs a band named “ONE SOUND”. Speaking about what motivated him to start the band he said “Good music inspires me anytime. I have heard and seen lots of bands but what they really miss is the synchronization of the music itself which was what inspired me to create One Sound.” The band comes together to create good music from old school to contemporary to hip-hop, RnB even Jazz and so on.

“One Sound’s next big Performance is at the West Africa’s first International Art Fair ART X Lagos taking place this weekend at The Civic Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos where we will be performing with all artists for the event as their backup musicians,” Slysticks stated.

Speaking of his current projects, the Percussionist said: “I am currently working on a tour with Midnight Crew.” “I have been working with the crew for the past one year and I feel super excited about this upcoming tour,” he added.

Sylvester has worked with a lot of Artistes both secular and gospel amongst who are Midnight Crew, Davido, Chidinma (Miss Kedike), Naeto C, Lola Ray, Tomi Thomas, Joe Praize, Uflames, Emma Naira and many more performing both in Nigeria and abroad.
