Out of favour Leicester centre-back Yohan Benalouane is a target for Serie A side Inter Milan, according to the Leicester Mercury.
The 30-year-old Frenchman is yet to make an appearance this season having made 18 last term.
Leicester City manager Claude Puel said this week he “didn’t know” if Yohan Benalouane had a future at City , with the French-born defender yet to make a competitive senior appearance this season.
Inter have Milan Skriniar, Miranda and Andrea Ranocchia as options in the heart of defence, but with Zinho Vanheudsen sidelined by knee ligament damage, they’re after another centre-back to help their push for the Scudetto in the New Year
Benalouane’s experience in Italy is something that Spalletti has identified in making him his number one centre-back target for January. Having made 105 Serie A appearances across AC Cesena, Parma and Atlanta – Benalouane is the ideal back up player given his history in Italy.
Having left Atlanta in 2015 for £5m, Leicester will want to recuperate as much as they can should Benalouane make the mid-season switch to San Siro.
