Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho is a PSG transfer target, but the Brazilian has asked the Reds to turn down any approach from the Parisians as he still harbours hope of sealing a move to Barcelona, who are expected to make a fresh €120m bid. (Sport)

Lyon forward Nabil Fekir is also a Barcelona transfer target and the Catalan club have been monitoring his progress for several weeks. The 24-year-old already has 12 goals to his name this season and Barca are considering him as an alternative to Coutinho. (Marca)

Atletico Madrid want to sign Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera, whose current contract expires at the end of the season. However, United are expected to trigger a clause in the Spaniard’s deal which keeps him at Old Trafford until the summer of 2019. (AS)

AC Milan are the latest club to show interest in Schalke midfielder Leon Goretzka. The German is one of the most wanted players in Europe and a host are clubs are trying to sign him next summer when his contract expires. Juventus transfer target Jose Gimenez is ready to force through a move away from Atletico Madrid. The Uruguayan centre-back has fallen behind Stefan Savic in the pecking order at the Wanda Metropolitano and is keen to secure regular football ahead of the World Cup. Rumours persist over the future of Mesut Ozil, whose Arsenal contract expires in the summer. A report in Spain that he could move to Atletico Madrid has been dismissed and he is more likely to make a switch to Manchester United and reunite with Jose Mourinho (BILD)

Werder Bremen have stopped their managerial search and will leave Florian Kohfeldt in charge until the winter break. The former Bremen Under-23 coach stepped into the top role following the dismissal of Alexander Nouri at the end of October. Kohfeldt lose his first game in charge against Eintracht Frankfurt.
