Juventus will activate their option to sign on-loan Bayern Munich winger Douglas Costa, according to the Bundesliga club’s chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.
Douglas Costa joined Juve on a season-long loan during the summer transfer window.
The Bianconeri have the option to secure his services on a permanent basis and Rummenigge says they will activate it.
“He (Costa) will be signed definitively for €46m,” he is quoted as saying on TuttoJuve.com.
After joining Bayern from Shakhtar Donetsk for €30m in 2015, Costa enjoyed a bright first season in Germany, scoring four and assisting 14 goals in 27 Bundesliga appearances under Pep Guardiola.
However, Costa, who had to contend for a place on the flanks with Arjen Robben, Franck Ribery and Kingsley Coman, struggled to back up his strong debut campaign and started only 14 of Bayern’s 34 Bundesliga games last term.
