Indigestion and constipation is a major issue affect men and women of today because of our lifestyles and most importantly the food that goes down our gut.

The fact is as much as 20 per cent of the world’s population suffers from chronic indigestion, accompanied by uncomfortable and sleepless nights after indulging quite too much in food and drinks.

Burping excessively and having a persistent pain an hour after consuming fried foods and alcohol may indicate gallstones instead of your stomach responding to high fatty food content. Consulting a doctor will be the course to take in such situations.
The best way to nip indigestion in the bud is to make better choices and reduce your indulgences. Skipping a meal and going ahead to eat lavishly will do more harm than good.
Refusing to eat when you’re hungry will make you feel tired and full afterwards due to a sudden overload of food on your digestive system.
Exercise regularly and rest well. Avoid lying down straight after eating and you can let your belt out if need be. Too much pressure on your stomach can cause food to move back into your oesophagus, triggering heartburn.
If you are someone that enjoys drinking alcoholic beverages, try and stay hydrated as dehydration tends to affect digestion.
Take out time to eat good meals during lunch break instead of munching on junks. Avoid eating large meals for dinner and also have it in mind that coffee and alcohol trigger indigestion.
Don’t eat on the run as it increases the risk of indigestion because it makes you swallow too much air.
