Nigerian defender, Leon Balogun is rallying support for compatriot, Victor Moses, to win the BBC African Player of the Year.
The Chelsea winger has been nominated alongsode, Sadio Mane, Mohammed Salah and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The last time a Nigerian won the award was back in 2004, with Toure pipping Mikel to the 2015 gong.
Balogun has now taken to social media and has charged Nigerians with voting for Moses.
“Nigeria, it’s time to vote. This award can only go to our brother and outstanding baller Victor Moses,” Balogun tweeted.
“No excuses! Make sure he gets what he deserves – African Footballer of the Year 2017 must be our very own.”
