Inter Milan manager Luciano Spalletti has hailed Mauro Icardi and called the captain a complete striker, after his hattrick secured a derby win over AC Milan.
The Argentina international striker opened the scoring from open play and restored the lead for Inter, after Suso equalised.
Handanovic’s own goals restored parity, and it looked like the Derby was heading for another draw, until Icardi completed his hattrick with a well taken penalty.
“Mauro was grandiose today. Grandiose,” Spalletti told Mediaset Premium.
“Despite all the responsibility poured on his shoulders, he has the humility to listen to advice and works hard dropping back to win the ball.
“Icardi is a complete striker and for his age shoulders so much responsibility.”
