Juventus have revived their interest in Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes, reports Mundo Deportivo.
The Bianconeri wanted the Portugal international during the summer but neither Barca nor the player were willing to listen to offers.
However, Juve are keen on Andre Gomes again as they are unlikely to land another midfield target, Leon Goretzka – Bayern Munich and Barca are leading the chase to sign him from Schalke.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Juve have sounded out Gomes’ camp and are aware that Mauricio Pochettino wants the 24-year-old to bolster Tottenham’s midfield options.
It is believed that Spurs have spoken with Gomes’ representative Jorge Mendes, while Juve want to sign him on permanent basis in January or on loan with an option to buy.
Gomes told his agent Mendes not to listen to offers for him during the summer as he wanted to stay at Barca and he will decide his own future again in January.
