Raphael Varane has agreed a new five-year contract with Real Madrid.
Since moving to the Bernabeu from Lens in 2011, Raphael Varane has helped Real win La Liga once and the Champions League three times.
A statement published on Real’s official website said Varane’s new deal would run until the end of June 2022.
Varane has made seven appearances so far this season as Zinedine Zidane’s side defend their La Liga and Champions League titles.
His previous contract, signed in 2014, was due to expire in June 2020.
Teammates Karim Benzema, Marcelo, Isco, Dani Carvajal and Marcos Llorente have put pen to paper on extended deals in recent weeks, while coach Zidane also confirmed that he had agreed new terms.
