Nigeria has dropped six places in the FIFA world rankings and are now 44th in the world, according to the rankings released on Thursday.
The Super Eagles were quite decent against the indomitable lions in the month under review, defeating Cameroon 4-0 at Uyo and playing a 1-1 draw in the return leg at Yaounde.
Nevertheless, Nigeria moved downwards on the grading and are now fifth in Africa, according to FIFA.
Cameroon, on the other hand, dropped 10 places in the world ranking to 45th and are ranked sixth in Africa.
Cape Verde are the biggest movers, while Switzerland are the biggest droppers.
The summit of the rankings sees Brazil get toppled by Germany, while Portugal are now third.
