Barcelona target Jean Michael Seri will not leave Nice in January, according to the president of the Ligue 1 club.
Barca agreed to sign the Ivory Coast international last month but eventually opted to pull the plug on the deal.
There have been suggestions that they will revive their interest in the midfielder in the winter transfer window but Nice president Jean-Pierre Rivere says Seri will be staying at the club in January.
Speaking to radio station France Blue Azur, he said: “Seri will not leave in January. I speak with the player a lot and there is no possible debate. He has a long-term contract.”
