Gennady Golovkin does not see Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez struggling to make the weight required for their bout on Saturday.
Alvarez has been bulking up in preparation for the showdown in Las Vegas, as he makes the move from light-middleweight to middleweight.
However, Golovkin, who is putting his middleweight belts on the line, expects Alvarez to make the 160lb limit.
“I know him a long time,” he said. “He is the same size as me and has the same power.
“He was ready a long time ago to come up to 160. I don’t know why he didn’t come up. Right now, he is ready.”
