Everton and Liverpool could battle for the signature of Charlton Athletic wonderkid Ezri Konsa , according to the Sunday Mirror.
Reports say that both the Blues and Reds are keen on the 19-year-old centre-back who was part of the England side that won the Under-20s World Cup last summer and the Addicks are bracing themselves for offers when the transfer window reopens in January.
East London boy Ezri Konsa, born in Newham, played alongside a significant contingent of prospects from both Goodison Park and Anfield in the Young Lions side in South Korea.
The 20-year-old — who at 16 became Wales’ youngest-ever capped player — is being eyed by Barnsley after seeing a summer switch blocked. The Reds rate Wilson, but want him to carry on in the second-tier.
Konsa has played 48 games so far for Charlton – 39 last season and nine so far this term – and scouts from either side of Stanley Park are regular visitors to the Valley.
