Bayern Munich are trying to sign France Under-18 international winger Willem Geubbels, according to L’Equipe.
The 16-year-old is highly thought of in the youth ranks at Lyon, and recently made his debut in the first team, coming on during the 3-3 draw with Dijon. The German champions already reportedly had a €9m offer turned down in the summer.
Geubbels is the fifth youngest player in Ligue 1 history behind Laurent Paganelli, Joel Frechet – who were both 15 when making their debuts – Albert Rafetraniaina and Neal Maupay.
Willem Geubbels is tipped to become world class player in the near future, and his growing popularity will make him quite hard to hold on to.
Lyon are keen to have him sign a professional contract in order to have a firmer grip, but his representatives are said to be holding out.
