Barcelona full-back Aleix Vidal tried to leave the club for Valencia on the last day of the summer transfer window, reports RAC1.
The defender was unsure of his situation at the Camp Nou and looked for a way out of the club.
Acording to RAC1, Vidal’s representatives proposed a loan move to Valencia. Barca were open to letting him leave but they sought a permanent deal and a €15m transfer fee.
Valencia were unwilling to pay that amount and Vidal remained at Barca.
He was left out of yesterday’s 5-0 win over Espanyol – a victory that saw Barca move top of La Liga.
He is part of Barca’s Champions League squad for the upcoming group stages, with the club set to face Juventus at home on Tuesday.
