Arda Turan does not plan to leave Barcelona this month.
The Turkey international, who is reportedly surplus to requirements at Barca, has been linked heavily with a return to Galatasaray as the Turkish transfer window remains open until Friday night.
However, the playmaker insists he is happy at the Nou Camp and has poured cold water on speculation that he will leave any time soon.
Speaking to Turkish programme Beyaz Futbol, he said: “I’m staying. I’m very happy here and I have a contract for another three years.
“Galatasaray is my home but I know they don’t want me now (due to the fans). I don’t want to harm the team.”
Arda has yet to feature for a single minute in the new campaign so far which suggest he simply is not in Valverde’s plans for the season.
If he is intent on staying, it looks as though he will have to get used to watching from the sidelines unless he can somehow convince the new coach he deserves a chance.
