It’s been two weeks when the real battles tagged ‘the battle rounds’ begun on #TheVoiceNigeria and there was enough contrast between the talents belonging to the different teams. The intrigues of the second season of #ThevoiceNigeria continued as the casual teams and the 49 Talents slugged it out in pairs.

The first round of battles of season two of #ThevoiceNigeria kicked of with #TeamYemi and that saw the pairing of Ifeoma and Olla who both sang Whitney Houston’s ‘I’m every woman’. Ifeoma emerged winner of the battle rounds. The next battle saw Oge and Tori sing Katy Perry’s ‘Fireworks’. Oge emerged victorious and she along with Ifeoma moved on to the Live Shows.

Jahnomso gained an automatic spot at the Live Shows after his Battle partner, Shayee withdrew from the competition.

#TeamTimi was next and Timi Dakolo had an emotional time trying to decide which among the talents battling it out he should send through to the next round. Idyl was paired with Happiness and both talents gave a rendition to remember as they performed John Legend’s ‘Love me now’. The other Talents that battled it out was Gee6ixx and Jahtell who both sang Timi Dakolo’s ‘The woman I love’.

After struggling to come to a decision, Timi was practically left in tears as he let Gee6ixx and Happiness go.

The talents from #TeamWaje were next and Efezino was paired with Daniel and both gave a beautiful rendition of ‘Awe’ by Asa. Waje chose to save Efezino and Patoranking wasted no time in stealing Daniel and making him a member of his team, thus giving the very first Steal of #ThevoiceNigeria Season Two.

#TeamPato was last for the night and he put up the pair of Favour and Kessy, who sang ‘Nagode’ by Yemi Alade. Kessy won the Battles and in what seemed like a good thing, Waje stole an emotional Favour.

With the Battles getting hotter and interesting, one thing that is guaranteed is the best of performances from the talents of #ThevoiceNigeria Season Two.
